We live in a world that has many problems that oftentimes does not take into consideration what is morally right when it comes to the treatment of all people regardless of their race, socio-economical condition, and gender preferences. We as social workers respect and value the lives of the individuals and their families that come to us seeking help with their problems. Many of us enter this field because we want to help and advocate for those who need mental health and substance abuse treatment in our society.

This workshop will focus on a brief overview of NASW Code of Ethics, our purpose, ethical dilemmas in the workplace as it relates to the care and treatment of the people we treat, and solutions on how to provide the best care for society's most vulnerable and marginalized populations. The use of case scenarios, videos and solutions to workplace dilemmas will be utilized throughtout this training.
